Terms of Service

Agreement

By using Scamallteoir ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. The Service is provided by Latent Search Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in Ireland.

What the Service does

Scamallteoir monitors your AWS and Azure cloud costs using read-only access credentials you provide. We generate daily reports, detect anomalies, identify potential waste, and attribute costs to projects and owners based on resource tags.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the credentials and roles you provide.
• You are responsible for granting only the minimum necessary permissions (Cost Management Reader and/or Reader).
• You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• You are responsible for the security of your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately.

Read-only access

We access your cloud accounts in read-only mode only. We do not create, modify, or delete any resources. Actions based on our reports (such as deleting orphaned resources) are taken by you, in your own cloud console, at your own discretion.

Accuracy

Cost data is sourced from AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management APIs. These figures may differ from your final invoice due to credits, taxes, timing differences, and other factors. Scamallteoir provides cost visibility, not billing authority. Your cloud provider's invoice is the definitive record.

Free trial

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required. At the end of the trial, you may subscribe to continue using the Service or let your account enter a reduced-access state.

Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are listed on our Pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Data and privacy

Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of data as described in that policy.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, cloud provider outages, and other factors may cause temporary disruptions. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

Limitation of liability

Scamallteoir is a monitoring and reporting tool. We are not liable for any cost overruns, missed anomalies, inaccurate reports, or actions you take based on our data. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. On termination, we will delete your data within 30 days unless you request immediate deletion.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
