Troubleshooting

No Data Showing

  • Verify your AWS credentials are correct
  • Ensure the IAM user has the ce:GetCostAndUsage permission
  • AWS cost data can take 24-48 hours to appear for new accounts
  • Check that Cost Explorer is enabled in your AWS account

Authentication Errors

  • Double-check your Access Key ID and Secret
  • Ensure the IAM user hasn't been deactivated
  • Verify the access key hasn't been rotated
  • Check for any IP restrictions on the IAM user

Delayed or Missing Costs

  • AWS cost data is typically 24-48 hours delayed
  • Some services (like data transfer) may have longer delays
  • End-of-month data may take a few days to finalize

Slack Notifications Not Working

  • Verify the webhook URL is correct
  • Test the webhook using the "Test" button
  • Check that the Slack app hasn't been removed from your workspace
  • Ensure the channel the webhook posts to still exists
